Lynne Pretty

I took up quilting in 2002 after taking early retirement. I took the City and Guilds Patchwork and Quilting Certificate at Otley and the Diploma in Cambridge, both with Annette Morgan as tutor.

I have belonged to Out Of The Fold since it started in 2006.

I am a member of CQ - the Contemporary Group of the Quilter's Guild.

My work has been exhibited in Australia, Canada and Prague as well as UK national

I am available to give talks and workshops to interested groups. Email

Where the Lark and the Linnet Meet, Lies Bury St Edmunds

Pomegranate 2011
Tin Deep 2012
My quilts have won awards at the V and A in London and at the Hever and Harrogate quilt show. I took part in the Suffolk Open Studios in 2010 and 2012.   Tin Deep was juried in to the CQ@10 exhibition which started at the Festival of Quilts 2012 and then toured the country.

My work is often based on my travels and historical periods eg Tudor and Anglo-Saxon. I enjoy designing, dyeing and printing the fabrics which I then go on to stitch.

I am now giving talks and workshops to interested groups. e-mail
