Moving On - strip patchwork

Daphne has added a touch of her trademark bling to her 'Moving On' challenge piece. With a new interpretation of strip piecing and added applique and embellishment this is a lovely piece of textile work. Must be seen as a whole to be appreciated so come along to the exhibition in Bury St Edmunds to view the completed quilt.

Moving On - Circles

Lynette has produced a gorgeously coloured dyed  and printed piece for the 'Moving On' challenge which will form part of the Out Of The Fold exhibition starting in Bury St Edmunds this autumn. Here is just a small snippet to entice you to come along and see the whole completed article.

Moving On - Little House

Janet has taken the traditional representational block Little House for her 'Moving On' challenge piece. This tiny fragment shown gives a glimpse of Janet's skills of dyeing, printing and stitching to create a truly contemporary piece of textile art. To see it as a glorious whole then come along to the exhibition which opens on 24th October 2015

Moving On - Flying Geese

Helen is taking the traditional Flying Geese quilt design as her inspiration for the 'Moving On' challenge. To see the end result - a long way from a traditional quilt and demonstrating Helen's love of costume and luxurious fabrics - come along to the exhibition.

Moving On - stars

The exhibition challenge for the Out Of The Fold exhibition at Workwise Cavern 4 this October is to take an original quilt block and 'Move It On' to be interpreted in the style of each group member.

Here is just a small section of a quilt made by Carole Ward taking a traditional Star Block as her starting point.  To see the whole of Carole's piece then come along to the exhibition.

OOTF at Quilters Guild Regional Day

Out Of The Fold have been invited give a talk about their work at the Quilters Guild Region 8 - Suffolk and Essex - regional day at Margaretting on Saturday 10th October 2015.  Members of the group will show pieces from 'The Journey Unfolds' seen at the Knitting and Stitching shows in London and Harrogate last year.

The book published for the exhibition will be on sale at a cost of £5
