Migrations
'Migrations' was originally conceived around the movement of birds. The piece has come to mean much more; a metaphor for the everchanging nature of the human world, leading to 'migrations'.

Each segment similar but different, homogenous but individual when closely viewed.

Created with oakleaf dyed natural materials.

Accepted for the juried ADJUSTMENT exhibition at the Norfolk Makers Festival 2022

Broad Norfolk (detail)
'Broad Norfolk' is inspired by a view from Frances's studio in South Norfolk.

Metal threads couched on to a cotton background.

Recently shown as part of the juried BOLD PERSPECTIVES exhibition at The Forum, Norfolk

Karen leaves the fold

One of our founding members Karen Frost has sadly retired from the group.

Karen produced really beautiful work embellished with delightful hand embroidery in a pastel palette

Her 'Once Upon a Time' jacket inspired by fairy tales won a prize in the Festival of Quilts quilt creations.

This piece inspired by Bury St Edmunds Cathedral shows her pristine machine quilting.

Karen has moved to Norfolk and we wish her all the best for the future
