Very exciting news for Out Of The Fold member Jane Rowland!
Jane has two beautiful pieces featured in the newly published book: African Wax Print: A Textile Journey by Magie Relph and Robert Irwin. You can see a description of the book here: African Fabric Store
One of Jane's pieces is a beautiful bed quilt using African wax batik fabric, the other piece is a stunning door hanging. The door hanging is made from a huge amount of individual crafted fabric beads very cleverly stringed to create a map of Africa. Unfortunately I don't have any photos to share with you at the present.
A huge congratulations to Jane! Well done!
Our blog is progressing nicely and it won't be long before other group members will start posting and adding photos, so watch this space :-)

Take care for now
Well, the vacation is over and we have had 'Out Of The Fold's first meeting of the new season. It was lovely to meet again and have a good catch up after the summer break. Lots to be discussed and planned for the upcoming season.
A huge amount of fantastic work had been produced over the summer. Our show and tell is always so exciting. All group members have their own very individual style and it is great to see what the other ladies have been up to. So inspirational. Group members who had attended workshops, exciting shows or exhibition were sharing their experiences.
We had a lovely day!
Welcome to 'Out Of The Fold's' new blog.
We thought it was time for OOTF to have a web presence, where we can share our passion for fibre art with you. We'll be back with a lot more :-)
See you all later
