Lynne Pretty will be exhibiting her quilt 'JaVal' at the 8th International Prague Patchwork Meeting held from 4th - 6th April 2014.

'JaVal' was made in response to the theme 'New Horizons' and inspired by a gift of tulip bulbs by friend and fellow Out of the Folder Janet Valentine when Lynne moved into a new home. This work was  first seen at the Festival of Quilts 2013 as part of the New Horizons exhibition staged by the Contemporary Quilt Group of the Quilters Guild and has been selected as one of those to travel to Prague.

Monkeying around

As a special treat for our last Out of the Fold meeting before Christmas Jane Rowland taught us all to make a monkey from a pair of socks. Here is evidence that the day was not wasted...........Merry Christmas to all.

First there were 2 monkeys.....

Then there were three.....

Joined by more monkey friends.......

And finally.........Twelve sock monkeys sitting on the fence
